Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, 2017-2019 

Hospital Information Systems Manager –  Systems manager for the core EMR system and its related functions including operations, maintenance, business intelligence, and billing. November of 2018 we successfully completed the implementation of Netsmart’s MyAvatar EMR system to 4 State-owned facilities. In my first 6 months, we successfully transitioned the existing environment to the vendor’s cloud to increase performance and capacity as well as dependability. 

Tennessee Department of Health, Contract, 2014-2017 

Project Manager –  Project Manager for an EHR implementation to county and metro owned health clinics statewide. The main contract directive was assisting the Tennessee Department of Health to integrate the Document Storage Systems, Inc. vxVistA software into 126 public health clinics across the state. This included working with STS and the vendor to develop a statewide server and network infrastructure capable of supporting both rural and metro employees. 

CareSpot, 2011-2014 

IS Director – Develop a Support department which included P&P, team building, escalations, scheduling, metrics, culture building. Complete management of support technicians, field technicians, and vendors for remote and hands-on infrastructure support. Implemented several projects that included design, implementation, and maintenance of center infrastructure in support of NextGen EHR/EMR. IS Project Management of denovo and acquisition growth. 

Renal Advantage 2005-2011 

IS Operations Project Management – Develop Support department which included P&P, team building, escalations, scheduling, metrics, culture building. Complete management of support, field technicians, and vendors for remote hands-on MPLS management, design, implementation and maintenance of center and data center infrastructure to support HII Time EHR/EMR (AMI). IS Project Management of denovo and acquisition growth. 

Hot Topic, 2005 

Helpdesk, NOC Operations – Set up of new national distribution office, data center, warehousing system, and helpdesk. Develop Support department which included P&P, team building, escalations, scheduling, metrics, culture building. Assist operations in testing, improving PTL system and processes. 

Dell Computer, 2003-2004 

Level II Tech – Excelled in and advanced in four support queues. Maintained top 10% rank of Nashville agents. 

J.M. Tull Metals 1992-2003 

Information Systems Administrator – Managed Frame Relay infrastructure. Low voltage, equipment, and services procurement, troubleshooting LAN/WAN and AS/400 environments, and technology rollouts to update antiquated equipment. Data center maintenance. Helped drive innovation and change in IS to leverage new technologies.
